Barring an incredible collapse, RU should handily defeat Syacuse on Saturday. BUT, the Orange are never easy for RU, and their coach hates Greg Schiano. It should be interesting.

As for basketball, it's gonna be a very l-o-n-g season

One hundred and forty million dollars was spent to enlarge the stadium. Was it necessary? The answers are YES and NO.

The stadium will not be filled for most games under the current schedule. There just aren't enough fans who want to watch so-so teams. Bring in Ohio State or Texas, and the place will be packed.

Right now, with so many out of work, and with a schedule filled with mediocre teams, expecting a 'sellout' is not rational. West Virginia might have the place jumping, but most of the Big East just isn't glamorous enough.

In these very tough economic times, it might have been better to use the money for othe purposes.

We predicted on-air that RU would beat UCONN. Just too much emotion for UCONN players to deal with.

The Yankees have been beating up on Philly pitching. Of more importance, the "Big 3" Philly hitters are not doing very well. Ya never know, but Yanks look good
